Six Books You Must Read if You Want to Teach English
Okay, I know that for many bloggers this isn’t a big deal but we’ve all got to start somewhere, and I am very excited! Every first is a fab thing.
Today my first ever guest post happened.
I love writing and blogging. It makes all the difference when others like what I produce.
Vellichor Book Club is a blog that is centred upon a passion for books and writing.
My post lists the essential books every English teacher should endeavour to read; in my humble little opinion anyway.
You may not be an English teacher but it still is full of Lisa naughtiness, although I decided not to repeat the penis story this time. I’ve only just started on this other blog and I think hitting them with appendages (metaphorically) from the onset could be a bit frightening. For those not afraid of such things: see Lessons Learned From Teaching
Give my guest post a read and I’ll love you forever. Or at least until the next post…
Just in case, here’s the link again…Six Books You Must Read if You Want to Teach English (allow me some shameless self-promotion just this once eh?)
Awesome! Well done!!
Thanks very much!
Well done, Lisa. My little brother is training to be a teacher at the momemt. Not English, but I’m sure he will find some of these book recommendations helpful, and this post will make him smile as it did me. I’ll pass it on 🙂
Thanks Elle.
Tell your brother that he is amazing! Every teacher is! I think he will especially like the ‘Getting the Buggers to Behave Books’! Tell him that Tom Bennett’s ‘The Behaviour Guru’ and anything by Bill Rogers (an Aussie too) are really helpful for kid-taming!
