My First Ever, Ever Writing Interview Guest Post Thingie

Repeat Mantra: I Am a Writer

So it happened. An interview. No, not for a crappy job. Someone out there decided that not only am I a writer but that they would like to interview me as such. Let’s hope the Trades Misdescription Act doesn’t catch up with me. I jest.

I am working on establishing more confidence about my writing status. Depression knocked me hard and rendered me unable to write any fiction. I am grateful and amazed that I somehow managed to continue to write blog posts on a weekly basis. It wasn’t easy, believe me. So I will accept that I am a writer.

I work hard on the content of my blog posts. I see them as writing equal to any fiction I have or may write. I hope that you do too. I am also getting back into the fiction writing game, slowly but surely.

Here’s the Link to My Writer Interview!

So I will be proud that Jo Lambert, a fellow writer and blogger, asked me to take part in the first writer interview of 2017 on her blog. I told her I wasn’t published yet and it wasn’t a problem. Now if only all writers would be so accepting. Not you though my lovelies, of course.

Enjoy the read and if you don’t, as per usual, no refunds for time wasted. READ IT! PRETTY PLEASE! My Writer Interview With Jo Lambert

    1. It certainly is a big step. It’s a good feeling to be recognised by your peers. I hope you’re encouraged in your endeavours too.

      Thanks for commenting.

  1. We talked about this in my writing class at my school. How do we define ourselves? Writers? Authors? Nothing? Or what? This is a great post. Thanks for sharing!

    1. I think it’s an interesting question. I see it as you’re a writer if you know in that part of you that’s indefinable, maybe your soul, your gut, whatever, that you just are. I don’t worry about titles. I just do it. Sounds simple? Not so much. It’s taken decades to get here!

Thanks for such a thought-provoking comment Amie.

Good luck with your writing endeavors. I, too, am starting a little late, but have high hopes of seeing progress as the days go by. Good luck and thanks for sharing!
