The Future of This Blog

New Schedule

For those of you kind enough to follow my blog you’ll know I post every Monday.

Fellow bloggers will understand that if you want to produce decent content it takes time.

I’m not just a blogger, although that’s a pretty cool thing to do. My main occupation is writing fiction, namely novels. This is demanding and also takes a lot of time. It’s not just writing but trying to get my novel published, promo, writing other pieces, research, and herding cats. The last one is the most time-consuming!

I’ve decided to share my blog posts fortnightly, or, if you’re not a Brit, that’s every two weeks.

I appreciate this will mean less posts but it will allow me more time to give you the best reading experience while still working on all my other writing projects.

Not Quitting

To be clear, this blog isn’t ending.

I enjoy writing the posts, reading your comments, and responding to them.

I would rather post less than leave this blog behind. I’m proud of how I’ve kept blogging for so long.

I’m also very grateful to those of you who keep reading and sharing my posts on social media. I’m continuing for you, as long as you’ll have me.

Don’t Forget to Follow to Get the Latest Posts

If you sign up to follow my blog you’ll never have to miss a post. I know how easy it is to forget to check in. Do it. Do it now!

Thank You

Thank you, whether you’re a faithful follower or have recently stumbled upon my blog. I’ll forgive you for joining the party late.

Expect more snark, silliness, cats, cheese, chocolate, coffee, and… what is it? Oh yes, that writing thing.

See you on Monday 18th March.

  1. I can completely relate. I used to post editing/writing helps on Mondays and a Coffee Chat with an author friend on Thursdays. Every week. It got to be really hard to keep up with, and then I had to stop blogging completely for almost two years, due to a work schedule change, and when I finally started again, I decided to post every two weeks. It works well for me, I can come up with decent, helpful posts, and people can make the time to visit since it’s not as frequent.

Go with what works for you! Enjoy the small easement of your schedule.

  2. This sounds like an excellent plan. Much better to step back a little and make things more manageable than to let it turn into something you regret! Good luck with the new schedule!
