A new year is almost upon us and people are frantically making resolutions. Not me. Never have, never will.
Here’s why resolutions, in my humble opinion, suck.
I am rubbish sometimes at recognising my progress. I am more likely to list all my failures. Who better to teach you all about how to acknowledge your own progress? Yes, I know. Let’s call it therapy.
Life after and between depression is strange. You want to focus on being well but depression affects your life because it happened to you. This isn’t a sad story but rather one of awareness.
I am the world’s worst person at taking time out when I have to. Who better to write about how important it is to have some rest then? Yes, I know…
Writing and running – a strange combination? Yes, if you insist on doing both at the same time. Otherwise running helps prevent writer’s butt and shows us how to be better writers. Honestly.
Our mums teach us life lessons. Mine taught me many that I hold close, after her death. She taught me how to fight and keep going. That’s why I’m facing a new challenge.
Since I’ve started running it’s helped me to improve as a writer. Both are challenging, addictive, and amazing. Both can be rewarded by chocolate too. Win!
